Volunteer Opportunities

You should have received your conference time. If not, check with your child's teacher to see when you are scheduled to have your conference. This is a great time to give and receive information on your student.

With conferences come Staff Appreciation Dinner and the Book Fair! See the Volunteer Opportunities section below on ways you can help with these two events.

VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES:

Staff Appreciation Dinner: We will once again be "treating" the staff to dinner the Friday night of Conferences (March 12th) from 4:30 PM to 6:00 PM. Items will need to be dropped off by 4 PM and dishes can be picked up after 6 PM. Noodles & Company has graciously offered to provide our entrees, but we will need sides, desserts, and beverages. Carisa Ricci will be coordinating this event. If you can help with this event, please reply to me and I will forward the names on to her. She will send out a complete list at that time.
Book Fair: Book Fair help is needed for set-up, during classroom previews, during conferences, during lunch, and for take takedown. If you are available, any of the times below please let me know so we can set up a schedule:
- Mon, March 8th 3:45 PM - 6:00 PM Set-up
- Tues, March 9th 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM Classroom Previews
- Wed, March 10th 9:30 AM - 3:30 PM Classroom Previews
- Thurs, March 11th 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM During Conferences
- Fri, March 12th 8:00 AM - 8:00 PM During Conferences
- Mon, March 15th 11:00 AM - 1:30 PM During Lunch

Jump Rope for Heart: Help is needed with snacks for Jump Rope for Heart on Tuesday, March 9th, from 3:40 - 5:00 PM.
Turn Off the Screen Week (formerly Turn Off TV Week): A person/persons to coordinate the activities for Turn Off the Screen Week during the week of April 19, 2010, to April 25, 2010. We give away daily prizes for keeping the "screen" off, have some after school activities to help students keep their screens off, and a grand prize drawing for those who kept their screens off all week.

Turn into the office, used printer ink cartridges and used cell phones (Attn.: Mr. Keefer).
